Breakthrough

A new twist on an arcade classic!  Breakthrough takes the classic Breakout brick wall and puts it into motion.  The goal is not necessarily to destroy all of the bricks but to make it through each level without losing the ball or touching any bricks as they scroll down the screen.  Along the way, you will find levels with all kinds of weird power-ups, obstacles, and bricks.

Controls:

A - Move paddle left

D- Move paddle right

W - Move paddle up

S - Move paddle down

YES!  Unlike traditional brick games, your paddle can move up and down around the bottom fifth of the screen.  This is critical for navigating around bricks as they scroll down the page.

There are currently 10 levels available.  For testing purposes, in this version you can hit the right arrow key to skip to the next level without completing the one you are currently playing.

TBH, I started Breakthrough because I had started and abandoned too many overly-ambitious projects and making a Breakout clone seemed like it would be simpler.  In the process, I managed to develop some pretty solid game mechanics and create some new twists on the genre.  I hope you enjoy it.  I will make more levels if it seems like there is interest.
